About Eurocommercial and the role

Eurocommercial is a Euronext-listed property investment company specialising in dominant shopping centres in Belgium, France, Italy and Sweden. From its headquarters in Amsterdam, it manages a high-quality European portfolio with a market value of well over €4 billion, a long-term investment strategy and a strong financial position. The culture is entrepreneurial, international and collaborative — with around 100 colleagues in total.

As Group Treasurer, you are responsible for the Group’s treasury function: a strong liquidity position, an efficient funding structure and effective financial risk management. You oversee treasury operations across multiple countries, manage relationships with banks and lenders, chair the weekly treasury meetings and report to the Board of Management. You contribute directly to major financing decisions, acquisitions and long-term growth.

The role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on involvement, and calls for a strong digital mindset: you continuously improve treasury processes through automation, data-driven insights and technology, while strengthening treasury governance and internal controls.

What will you do?

Treasury & liquidity management

  • Lead the Group’s daily treasury operations across Europe; manage cash positions and optimise liquidity.
  • Prepare and oversee cash flow forecasting and treasury reporting; proactively manage liquidity requirements.
  • Optimise cash pooling structures and banking arrangements; execute FX transactions where required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international banks and financial institutions.

Funding & loan portfolio management

  • Manage the Group’s loan portfolio and repayment schedules; monitor refinancing opportunities and funding requirements.
  • Coordinate financing for acquisitions and refinancing projects; analyse financing structures to support strategic funding decisions.
  • Monitor interest rate developments and advise on their impact.

Risk management & compliance

  • Monitor financial covenants and ensure compliance with financing agreements and treasury policies.
  • Identify financial risks, implement controls and support fraud prevention initiatives.
  • Perform scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Systems, processes & business partnering

  • Own treasury systems and reporting; drive automation, standardisation and continuous improvement.
  • Advise senior management on treasury strategy and financial risks, and prepare management presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate with finance teams in Belgium, France, Italy and Sweden and support strategic projects.
What you bring

You combine strong analytical skills with commercial insight, are comfortable with senior stakeholders, like taking ownership and continuously look for ways to improve processes. You also bring:

Must-haves

  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, Banking or Financial Risk Management.
  • Solid experience with liquidity management, cash forecasting and treasury operations.
  • Experience with debt portfolios, refinancing, funding structures and covenant monitoring.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, interest rate management and financial risk; excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; professional fluency in English.

Strong pluses

  • Italian and/or French, and Dutch.
  • Experience with treasury management systems.
  • Experience in an international corporate environment, a listed company or the real estate sector.

Why Eurocommercial?

  • Full ownership of the Group treasury function, reporting directly to the Board of Management.
  • Euronext-listed, with a European shopping centre portfolio worth well over €4 billion and a strong financial position.
  • High-impact work on acquisitions, refinancing and funding projects.
  • A lean organisation of around 100 colleagues: short decision-making lines and real influence.
  • International scope across Belgium, France, Italy and Sweden, from the Amsterdam headquarters.
  • Room to modernise treasury through automation, data and technology.
